Dance is rhythmical and demands both stamina and focus. Dance allows you to disconnect from the pressures of daily life, which reduces anxiety and tension. Dancing challenges your balance, physical strength, and coordination while working your heart, lungs, muscles, joints, and ligaments. But dancing calls for more than that—it calls for mental agility and recall. Dance classes allow you to connect with others and those social relationships aid in battling loneliness, which is an important component in human health. Physical touch is another vital element for our health and dancing involves engaging with other people. Serotonin, the hormone that makes us joyful, is increased by dancing, which also reduces stress. Given the extreme stress we experience today, this is a significant health advantage.

Why not take up dancing if you want to try something new this year? There are a countless of advantages, ranging from health benefits to the social ones, which include meeting new people and relieving feelings of isolation. If you can't dance, don't worry about it!
